Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC was born March 4, 1954. O'Hara has won numerous prizes, including an award called a Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara's first recognition as an actress when she was part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. She was a part of the principal cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara was a part of Candy on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). The show received critical acclaim both for her writing abilities and acting and was honored with a Primetime Emmy Award, 1981 for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Series. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
