The most popular of her roles are her roles as the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz and Spamalot in the West End. For her work she has been nominated three times for the Olivier Award. In 2015, she joined Game of Thrones' fifth series as Septa Unella. In addition she played the lead role in the role of Septa Unella in the 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables. Waddingham has been nominated in the Golden Globe Awards.
