Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actor. Her most well-known role is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. Following the seventh season Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The show ended on August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) as well as The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English heritage. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and has said she participates in Passover seders.
